As you can see from the examples of my work, I have a very diverse range of products. From "Bold" to "Symplicity" , "Elelegant" to "Casual", "Boho Chic" to a little "Vintage Romance"...a little something for every taste and style.

I blame this on the beads! I buy beads for the love of them! I am intriqued by these miniature works of art that come to us from natural elements or man made products in so many shapes, sizes and colors. As with all things from nature, natural beads may have little blemishes or imperfections... "a unique birth mark from mother nature". This just adds to the beauty of them. Most of the time I have know idea what will become of them, I just liked the beads. Should I string them, wire wrap them, encase them in a beaded bezel? Who knows...but eventually they will let me know what must be done. Ah! but this is not to say that creative ideas are not flowing through my brain at all hours of the night when I am trying to get some much needed sleep! Inspiration is every where...the surrounding landscape, the way nature puts color together, everday objects, just examining the world around you can spark creatitivity.

I take great pride in my work and pay special attention to details. The finishing of a product is just as important as the design itself. What clasp would suit this design best? Will it be difficult for someone to open and close the clasp by themselves? Are there any threads or wire poking out? Is there any rough edges that may scratch the body?  I have discovered some products that aid in the finishing process as well as ensure extra protection from breakage. When stringing a necklace or bracelet I use wire guardians to prevent the friction where the clasp and wire rub together from breakage. I also use crimp covers that hide the crimps, making them a part of the design for a more finished look. I am also aware that many people have metal allergies and that using findings that are nickel and lead safe is important as well.

I purchase beads from many different suppliers and bead shops. I do not necessarily buy in bulk. I may not be able to reproduce a piece that has been sold as I have purchased only small amounts of that particular bead or they were a unique find in a bead store on one of my road trips. This is not to say that I could not try to find  a particular bead or order more beads if they are still available.

Creating jewelry is very exciting and also challenging! You're half way through a bead weaving project and a bead breaks! So you have to undo and redo, sometimes many times over. So it can be quite time cosuming as well. Even with out mishaps some projects can take hours, days and even months to complete.

Still... I keep going as there is still much to learn and more beads to buy and more jewelry to create!
